Here at Georgia Southern, we are a research institution. Essentially that means that if you're a student here at Georgia Southern, whatever major you are, you can definitely get some research done if that's something that you want to do. Sometimes professors will offer that research to you. Or if you have an interest and you want to research it yourself, you could go ahead and do that as well.

We have three campuses. We have one in Statesboro, one in Savannah, and one in Hinesville. Statesboro, that's going to be your larger campus feel. It has about 20,000 students, compared to Savannah, we have about 7,000 students. And then Hinesville, that's going to be for the more local and military students.

I think the biggest deciding factor for me to go to school here was the campus size, but also the flexibility because I'm able to work, because there's so many things close here. There's opportunities to work. And then there's also opportunities to lead because both campuses have really big extracurricular club life there.

Essentially when I first came to my open house, I truly felt that the people who were catering to me, the ambassadors, professors, I felt that they really made me feel like I belonged here, not just as a statistic, but as a person as well.

I think since our classes are normally smaller, you get a real sense of who your professors are, especially when you get in your major. You get really close with them. You get to see their personality. And they're always willing to help you. So I think that's the best part.

One of my favorite things about the faculty and staff is that they're so open and flexible. I don't feel scared coming up to them if I have a question. They're there to help you. So if you're struggling with anything or if you're having an off day, they notice. And they're going to ask you, like, "Hey, what's up? Can we do anything to help you?" So they don't just care about your grade in the classroom. They care about you in general.
